Meet Margaret Szegvari

C.A.S., Ed.M., Harvard University Graduate School of Education

B.A., Hamilton College

Based on my three-decade career as a senior-level independent school administrator, graduate-level program director, teacher, and counselor, I proudly support transformational educational outcomes for independent school educators.

Knowing firsthand that independent schools put great effort into designing their missions and strategic plans but often do not have the personnel on staff to fully implement them, my practice directly supports independent schools so they may intentionally and successfully live their missions and strategic plans, setting themselves apart as leaders in the field.

For over two decades, I directed the Lesley University/Pike School site-based graduate program, fondly referred to as The Teacher Training Program. I taught and mentored hundreds of new teachers as they spent a powerful full year learning about and developing their craft under my guidance and that of master teachers. In this role, I focused on building a safe and trusting community where thought-provoking learning opportunities were coupled with feedback and support.

Supporting a vision of providing transformational education for all students, I additionally led numerous school-wide diversity initiatives and designed and directed a curriculum review process where DEI and brain-based research were at the forefront of our conversations and our work.

I am delighted to now collaborate with independent schools throughout the United States as they engage in their unique transformative journeys.

Let me support you and your school as you intentionally execute your school’s mission and strategic plans.

While working alongside a master principal at one of the Cambridge public schools, I was also engaged with coursework across many of Harvard’s graduate schools. Get To Know Me Better

When not working, you can find me outdoors hiking a nearby trail or tending to my perennial gardens. These peony bushes hold a special place in my heart as I transplanted them from my childhood home in CT where they had grown for over fifty years. They seem to like their new garden bed in MA!

I am inspired by the wonders of our oceans and find every opportunity to explore local and distant waters with my husband and our two adult children (when they can make it). This special bay in Baja, Mexico is one spot where California gray whales come to calve. I spent a magical three days among them as I watched them tend to their young and prepare them for their journey back north.
